1. Information we collect

• Account details: name, email, preferred language.
• Applicant portfolio: education, experience, references, résumé, teaching demo video.
• Identity verification: live selfie, government ID, organisation verification documents.
• Activity log: sign-ins, portfolio edits, applications, document uploads.
• Technical data: device type, browser, strictly necessary cookies.

2. How we use it

We use your information to run the platform, verify teachers and employers, match candidates to relevant postings, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. Teaching demo videos and portfolio documents are only shared with verified employers you choose, or when you apply to their posting.

3. Legal basis (GDPR/PIPEDA)

We process personal information on the basis of contract (delivering the service), consent (video/ID verification, optional communications), legitimate interest (safety, fraud prevention), and legal obligations.

4. Sharing

TETCHA never sells personal information. We share it only with (a) verified employers when you apply or opt into sourcing visibility, (b) our infrastructure processors (hosting, email, identity verification) under contract, and (c) authorities where the law requires it.

5. Retention

We retain portfolios while your account is active, then for 24 months of inactivity. Identity verification documents are kept for the minimum period required by verification duties (typically 12 months after verification) and then deleted.

6. Your rights

You can review, correct, export, or delete your data from account settings, or by writing to privacy@tetcha.online. Residents of the EU, UK, Canada, California, and other jurisdictions have additional rights granted by local law.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access to sensitive documents is limited, logged, and subject to multi-factor authentication for TETCHA staff.
